ISSR Library
IBTS library has been chosen for the award through a competitive, peer-review process based on present capacity, commitment to research and study in science and religion, institutional support for related projects and original and promising plans for scholarly activity related to the Library. IBTS Library now stands among the top 150 institutions worldwide to have received this award. It is a huge honour for our seminary and recognition of the high standard of the academic teaching and research. Our Head Librarian said: “This Award is a huge acknowledgement of the service and resources offered at IBTS, especially since it comes from such a prestigious international institution. It proves the fact we all know, that IBTS and its Library indeed is a first-class place to study and do a research in this part of Europe.” The awarded collection will prove very fruitful for teachers, learners and researchers as well as all interested readers.
The International Society for Science & Religion (ISSR) Library consists of 224 volumes spanning all areas of the interface between science and spirituality. ISSR Editorial Board selected these books in consultation with the membership of the International Society for Science and Religion and experts from many academic disciplines, faith traditions, and regions. The result is a truly remarkable collection that ranges from a ‘core’ group of books whose primary focus is directly on science and spirituality (from many perspectives, including non-religious ones) to eleven other subject areas. These range from the sciences and social sciences to history, philosophy and the environment.
The awarded collection will prove very fruitful for teachers, learners and researchers as well as all interested readers.
