For further information contact: Lake@ibts.eu
The programme is intended to allow qualified individuals, especially Baptist theological educators and leaders, to conduct academic research that would otherwise be impossible in their context. This is not necessarily research leading to a higher degree. The study will normally be in an area of special interest for IBTS: Applied Theology, Baptist and Anabaptist Studies, Biblical Studies or Mission and Evangelism.
The duration of the stay at IBTS is typically one month, but may go longer depending on the interest of the individual.
IBTS will provide academic guidance and free access to all scholarly resources available on campus. Participant in the programme are invited to attend lectures and seminars free of tuition charge and to report results of their research work on IBTS Postgraduate research seminar. A very limited number of scholarships covering accommodation, or food, or both are available to the eligible candidates after consideration by the IBTS Academic Team.
It is expected that the results of the research will be published as an article or in other scholarly form within six months from the completion of research. Credit will be given to IBTS for providing academic support and funding for its composition. Articles meeting necessary academic level will be considered for publishing with priority in The Journal of the
European Studies.
