Research and Conferences
IBTS is committed to programmes of high quality academic research and to organising strategic conferences on theological and related topics through our research institutes.
As an institution we seek to deliver high quality theological research within and beyond our Masters and Doctoral educational programmes. We also offer general provision for postgraduate research opportunities. The focus of our research work is within the academic bounds of our major fields of study through our focused Research Institutes and geographically our interests are typically within the area of the European Baptist Federation (EBF). The EBF area covers Europe, Eurasia, the countries of the former Commonwealth of Independent States and the Middle East and eastern North Africa. However, as an organisation drawing our student community from throughout the world, we also do have research interests, research students and research activities beyond the boundaries of the EBF.
Research Journal
The Journal of European Baptist Studies (JEBS) was founded by IBTS in 2000. It is produced three times a year and contains articles written principally by theological scholars in Europe and of interest to Europe. Information is also given in JEBS about ongoing research projects and future Director's Conferences.
