Volunteering categories
The International Baptist Theological Seminary has been dependant on volunteers throughout its history. The current campus was rebuilt by volunteers from North America, Great Britain, and the European Continent. We are deeply grateful and blessed for the energy, finances, sweat, and prayer that they have put into the school. We will continue to depend on volunteer labour as we provide education for students from across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We are committed to using the body of Christ worldwide to assist us in our task. We know that volunteers not only provide needed labour but also return home enthusiastic for the vision of the seminary. They become some of our best advocates and intercessors.
The volunteer needs of IBTS have changed as we have moved from a construction site to a completed campus. We no longer need the large work teams that have been so helpful in the past. Today, our needs are more specific and cost effective. At this point, we do not anticipate having any significant major renovations or construction work
To better aid potential volunteers, we have developed a three category system to help organize and advertise our needs.
- Category One includes those tasks which are critical to the seminary’s daily operation. These are projects that we have in the budget but are awaiting volunteer workers.
More information » - Category Two includes those tasks which are critical to the seminary’s long-term operation. There are no specific funds that have been set aside to accomplish them and we are dependent on volunteers to not only provide the labour but also to provide partial funding.
More information » - Category Three includes those tasks which will be helpful to the operation of the school. These projects may also be recommended by volunteers rather than requested by the school. If you have a project that you would like to suggest, it may fit here.
