We are delighted to welcome applications for our upcoming academic year beginning January 2023. Starting a PhD is a big decision to make - one which involves a lot of time and investment of energy. Therefore, if you are considering doing a PhD or you know someone who is, we would strongly recommend you to get in touch at this early stage. Whether you feel the time is right, or still 2-3 years away, it’s hugely beneficial to converse from the beginning around potential areas of interest, research questions, and how that might line up with IBTS and what we offer.
We would especially like to encourage women to submit their applications, as they have often been excluded from theological education. One of our key focuses at IBTS is to develop more effective connections with people who would benefit from our programmes, and so we are committed to making our pathways into theological education and research more accessible.
